It's been a decade now since we said goodbye to my dad after his long journey with dementia. While this took so much from him over those years, it also gave my siblings and me something deeply meaningful - time spent as caregivers, advocates, and family. Caregiving and supporting him at home for as long as possible was not always easy, but he clearly valued it and the memories at home are priceless. His journey continues to shape my heart, my purpose and my gratitude for every moment shared with those we love.
